Our therapists all have a few things in common:
We love helping clients achieve their pain-free goals.
We know education is the best way to long-term improvement.
We want to figure out why it's happening not just give you a temporary fix.
If you’re deciding who to see, you can ‘meet’ each therapist below.
Ailish @ SJS/ Walthamstow & Leyton
(she/her)

Ailish first fell in love with sports massage while studying dance, having had an almost-miraculous improvement (as she describes it) in her leg pain after her first session.
Ailish fully embraced the clinic’s unique approach to bodywork when she joined, helping clients reduce muscle-related pain and discomfort with massage and gentle exercise & stretches.
In her spare time she continues dancing, cycling and running, as well as volunteering pre- and post-event massages for various charities.
If you’d like to learn more about Ailish you can see her therapist intro video on our facebook page here. Ailish is available at Walthamstow on Mondays & Thursdays and alternate Saturdays. She is also available at Leyton on Tuesdays. If you’d like to book a session with her, click here to go to our online booking page.

“I always leave my in-person sessions with Ailish feeling better, stronger and more informed about how to look after my body.” – Cat, knee pain, calf & ITB tension, neck & shoulder pain
“What has been great about the distance sessions is that the therapist patiently spends time identifying the exact problem muscle groups and assesses you throughout the session, and I have come away from the sessions with the similar level of relief as I might have had from a massage.” – Georgia, shoulder pain
Aiden @ Walthamstow
(he/him)

Aiden qualified in massage therapy in 2012 after leaving a career in corporate finance. He draws on his experience in multiple modalities (reflexology, Swedish, Indian Head Massage, sports massage) to create a unique experience for our clients who visit him at Angel.
Having spent years at a desk he’s acutely aware of how hard the office environment can be on the body. He knows ‘sports’ massage isn’t just for sports people, and loves helping clients with imbalances from office / other work-related and general day-to-day activities.
In his spare time, he loves staying up to date with technology & gaming, as an early adopter of tech like smart watches and payment rings.
If you’d like to see his introduction interview you’ll find it here on our facebook page. Aiden is currently at our Walthamstow location on Wednesday afternoon/evenings and alternate Friday and Saturdays. Click here to go to our online booking page & book a session with him.

“Aiden provides excellent professional treatment, care and advice. He creates a calm and relaxed environment that is friendly and client-focused. I had a lot of pain in my back and shoulders, which has now been relieved through massage sessions and mobility is so much better.” – May, pain & loss of mobility in shoulders
Aida @ Leyton
(she/her)

Aida qualified in massage therapy in 2018 after her own injuries and chronic pain led her to explore various complementary healthcare options. Because of her experience with chronic pain, she understands the experience of her clients who suffer with it and has a very patient-centred approach.
Aida knows the difference understanding your body can make, so spends a lot of time with clients explaining why she does what she does and how they can apply these principles at home.
She’s also taken the Health at Every Size pledge, believing that your weight isn’t the top factor in your body pain. You can learn more about the pledge and get to know Aida in her introduction video here.
In her spare time, Aida splits her time between her family, passion for music and a healthy obsession for natural movement and triathlon Instagram accounts.
Aida is available at Leyton on Tuesdays mornings, Thursday afternoon/evening and alternate Saturdays. If you’d like to book a session with her, click here to go to our online booking page.

Iunia @ Walthamstow
(she/her)

In 2012, Iunia qualified in physiotherapy after realising pharmacy – her initial choice was not her journey. She started working as a soft tissue therapist after her first year in uni in 2010 and never looked back.
She remembers being intuitively interested in massage even from a very young age – ‘rubbing’ her mom’s hands or head to help alleviate the effects of stress, working too hard, and too much.
Iunia believes the best combination in body therapy is equal parts intuition and knowledge /education, with a little bit of kindness mixed in.
In her spare time she is a proud self-proclaimed ‘crazy cat lady’. She loves to cook and spend as much time at the sea as possible, and recently picked up rollerblading after a 10+ year break. In her spare time she researches mental health issues, partly because of how hard society has been hit with this over the last couple of years, and it’s something that hits home for her.
Iunia is available at our Walthamstow location on Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings and alternate Sundays. Click here to go to our online booking page & book a session with her.

‘This lady has the most passionate genuine interest in her work and the client. I can recommend her 110% for the massage itself and for her knowledge. I feel totally at ease with her during the treatment and always so much better afterwards. Don’t think about it, book an appointment with her you will not regret it.’

Katherine, Founder & Principal Therapist
(she/her)

Katherine founded Leyton Sports Massage in 2010, intent on helping as many people reduce their day to day pain & keep doing the activities they love as possible. Over time, the approach at the clinic became more and more defined, and one of her favourite client compliments is ‘I’m never having a ‘normal’ massage again’.
Katherine focuses on understanding the source of any problems along with a holistic, structural approach to bodywork so changes are made quickly and last as long as possible. This approach, along with targeted home care, work towards clients’ long and short-term goals. Her clients come to her to stay in top form for their sport, to take care of the muscle-related discomfort from day-to-day life, or to aid recovery following soft tissue damage, either from injuries or operations.
Katherine splits her time running the clinic, seeing clients, spending time with her family including two Minecraft & Fortnite-obsessed boys and creating resources for clients on the clinic’s website and YouTube channel.
Katherine’s client list is currently closed, but she is sometimes available for one-off triage appointments to do initial assessments and recommend the best therapist for you at the clinic.

*“I had my first sports massage with Katherine when I was training for the London marathon earlier this year. As my training progressed, I found that it became increasingly difficult to fully stretch my muscles after every run and my body started to ache. Within 24 hours of my first massage, the tightness in my muscles had disappeared. My legs felt less heavy and the training runs became a little easier. After that, I continued to have massages prior to the big race. As distance running can really take its toll on your body, I would definitely recommend regular sports massages to any runner.” – Liz, runner
