When you come to us, we discuss with you what your goals are for your sessions – do you want to have a regular MOT? Are you training for an event? Or do you have a specific pain that you’d like to get rid of? By understanding what your goals are we hope to give you your best possible outcome.
We develop our treatment plans according to what you need – there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ treatment. One person’s lower back pain may be caused by tight glutes or hamstrings, while another’s could be from weak abdominals. When you have a specific pain, instead of just working on the painful area, we try to identify what specifically is causing it so we can be more effective with what we do and help you understand how to prevent it from coming back.
Lastly, we will encourage you to adjust what may be causing the problem – whether it be improving your posture, adding a stretch or adjusting your technique so you can prevent the issue from returning. And, if we feel you should see someone else, such as your GP, a physio, osteopath, or other health practitioner, we will let you know – whether that’s instead of or as well as seeing us.

We offer one-to-one yoga sessions to show you what exercises and stretches you can do on your own. We also believe SRMT should be accessible to everyone so offer a low cost option a couple of days a week.
